Block Party on a Sunny August Sunday
Did you see the article about our block party in the Caldwell Perspective? If not, here it is . . .
"Possibly the first block party every sponsored by a Caldwell church drew about 150 people to the lawn at Linden and Indiana by the Caldwell Seventh-day Adventist church on Sunday, August 5.
From vegetarian mini-hamburgers to corn on the cob and ice cream bars, a variety of food was appreciated by visitors, with children also enjoying the "Noah's Ark" inflatable bouncing house, face painting, and other activities. Free Bibles and information about living the Christian life were given as prizes or gifts to those attending.
The event helped set the stage for a vegetarian cooking school in October that will help answer questions about why Seventh-day Adventists are healthier and live longer than others." --Joyce Griffith
Here are some photo shots from that fun day. You will notice that in addtion to food and fun activities for the kids, CAES, Pathfinders, and the AMEN Clinic were well represented with information for those interested in knowing more.
